How dirty and littered our state is

Has anyone noticed how filthy and littered our roadways are? Plastic bags and bottles everywhere, you name it. the hell with the liberals bring back the chain gangs from the prisons, give them a day job outside of their lodgings, pay them a few bucks per hour, and get this state cleaned up as it certainly seems that there is not enough money in this state to keep it sanitary. Anyone agree?

Springtime is the worst, as all the trash that got buried in the snow gets kicked around by the spring winds. I have a job site in a northern suburb with about a mile of chain link fencing we have to clean up. It's a nightmare every spring. And it's a poorer suburb where people still litter like its the 70s.

More affluent areas gave up littering much sooner.

I was just driving through Indiana and thinking that Illinois is so much cleaner!

And for whatever reason, Indiana has totally given up on collecting dead animals and tire blowout debris.

Maybe, but Indiana has a balanced budget and its pensions are well funded. So it does have that.

Route 39 near Rockford. Looks like a recycling truck overturned. Is there any department I can contact to report that?

Isn't spring always the worst as the snow recedes and exposes a seasons worth of buildup? Even the fall leaves are now flat against the earth hiding nothing.

That being said, it does seem like littering has come back from the brink of extinction. I'm wondering if the newly minted 18-21's got the anti-litterng memo or if it's somehow off their radar...it just seems more common to litter than it had been.
