yes it is. The week before, my boy and I were out checking out the course and I was trying to plan out different spots to shoot. I had the flower shots in my mind and was going to do this on race day, just didn't get to:

Play with the angle, positioning and field of focus a bit in the first image to emphasize the race in the sea of green and trees and hill and I'd bet an iconic Glen Ellyn Tour image could be born from that.

Assuming of course that the race returns.

Thank you! You wouldn't believe how much work it was heal-cloning out the hot dog guy and his huge cart between the riders and that black iron fence, hence the delay in posting it to my gallery.

A couple shots my 8 year old son took with his Canon 50d and 50mm f1.8 lens. He only shoots b/w (his middle name is Weston, as in Edward Weston, so only b/w he says!). They were imported into Lr using a preset he created for b/w shots.

Yes! I find this a healthy thing that he is doing this. That he is into B&W at this stage is even more special. Does he work with the color channels and built-in color filters to refine the B&W look yet? Powerful stuff if and when they are used in certain images. You might need to borrow sneak his 50D since you broke your own camera. Have you told him that Edward Weston also shot color in his later years?

I broke my body, as in my human form, not my 70d. That is still alive.

I think he just focuses on Edward's b/w work.

He uses a Lr preset that closely matches the monochrome Canon picture style.

Oh, that's different. People heal (but hurt), cameras usually don't heal, only the bank account hurts. Hope you mend soon and properly.
