As I've listened to each of these...(and often let the auto lay continue to play more Queen videos), I am struck at how distinctive his playing is and how you can pick it out.

That "Flash" song though...Gawd. Radio Gawd gawd

If this doesn't get your Queen groove on, I do not know what will

And Brian May, his guitar tone is like no other. He can play one note, like if Clapton or Jimi played one note, you can tell it is him.

If you are driving tonight on That western main street in North Glen Ellyn and you hear the riff of that song blaring out of some house as you go, stop and see how bad a guitar player I am.

Not sure if you've come across this one Bry, but click the image for the link, "The Kleptones - A Night At The Hip-Hopera". A fantastic and famous derivative work interwoven to a Queen soundtrack with dozens of unique soundbites and various old school hip-hop throughout. The intro is great and quite telling.

As I'm not personally a big Queen or old-school hip-hop fan, I'm with a few people I know that were blown away by this "in the day" and somewhat generally prefer this to its parts.

I know he was better when I saw him at Pheasant Run, but that was probably over 25 years ago.

When I saw them in the late 80's with Chicago at Poplar Creek(RIP), they were alright nostalgia. This is from 2014. I will give them credit, they are still out there, their mid 70's.

Little tidbit I learned the other day that was unknown to me, the recently deceased Captain, as in "and Tennille," was nicknamed "Captain" by the Beach Boys...he used to wear that stupid hat while playing with them, and they started to call him Captain. Thankfully for him he wasn't wearing a Dîckey.

Staying with royalty, next Friday, although I will be traveling, I deem it Prince day, all day. Because...when I went to see Bohemian Rhapsody, one of the people I attended with said she is always confused between Queen and Prince.

Two bands that I enjoy, but I find their latest videos are somewhat, unneccessary so to speak. Rob Zombie did his ultra violence stuff as a throw back to 50's B horror movies and it was done right, but I think these two examples have crossed the line. There are other bands doing this, but to have these 2 big names do it kinda puts me off. Especially since I am friends with one of the members in the 2nd example.

Slayer is retiring this year. They are going out in a blazing river of blood. Not safe for work, or if you do not like ultra violent movies, you may not want to view.

Anthrax is stepping it up as well. NSFYS (not safe for your stomach)
