Mercer Island's five month long search for a new Superintendent has come to an end.

interesting. Mercer Island also used Ray & Associates as their search firm. I guess if we keep an eye on superintendent positions listed on their website, we'll know which one is next...

She looks like she was a strong candidate:

The board has had an intensive five-month process to find the next Mercer Island superintendent...has unanimously named Donna Colosky as superintendent of the Mercer Island School District.

Prior to her current position, Colosky spent 27 years in the Apple Valley Unified School District in the High Desert area of Southern California. During her tenure, her positions included assistant superintendent of human resources, director of curriculum and instruction, principal in charge of establishing a new, technology-based elementary school, elementary principal, assistant principal, master/mentor teacher and classroom teacher.

Colosky received her master’s from Chapman University. She earned her bachelor's from the University of British Columbia. She was raised in Burnaby, B.C.
I think her B.C. upbringing probably gave her a considerable edge in Mercer Island.

Not to mention her vast experience and that she earned a real diploma from a real school.

Las Vegas has future wagering on when Gordon will be hired elsewhere--

    Before Oct.1 8-5
    Oct. 2-Dec. 31 1-1
    Jan.1 Feb. 28 1-3
    Before May 1 1-10

If you work for Ray & Assoc., you are prohibited from betting. Makes sense.

Forget Detroit. Kansas and Oregon are in play. Oregon might be a good fit for a follower of Saul Alinsky.

Or, the quad cities. And, the district is also 41.

Wherever, this will be Gordon's last year here.
