WIMP alert preface: Logging for suggestions. We know it is a simple meal that can be done easily. We are just too committed (and perhaps lazy) to pull it off between now and then.

Got word that likeable but unexpected relatives are invading our home this weekend. We thought we'd have a Thanksgiving-type meal with said folk, being that we don't get to see them often. Does anyone know of any place that would cater such a meal a couplathree weeks BEFORE Turkey Day? Not having much luck calling around. Please let us know and thanks in advance.

    Happy Thanksgiving.

Try Whole Foods, they're roasting turkeys through Thanksgiving.

Boston Market catering....not sure if they will offer their Thanksgiving menu that early, but they pretty much already offer most of your typical thanksgiving foods on a daily basis anyway....

Steamboat BBQ has smoked turkey with all the fixings. It is my understanding you can get them now. Call soon for this weekend. Tell him I sent you!

Apparently is didn't snow at all in the Promised Land. Chicago schools had to have been closed this afternoon. After school programs cancelled.

Emergency Closing center doesn't have anything listed. #fakenews

In the holiday spirit, I would like to run over the art director who thought it was a creative to rewrite "Holiday Road" (1983 song in National Lampoon's Vacation, written and recorded by Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham) and use it for the Happy Honda Days commercial.

Yep, I am really doing this for a nice cause...please donate if the spirit moves you. Thanks either way!

"Current Glenbard South Boosters CoPresident and former Village of Glen Ellyn President Mark Pfefferman is participating in Ellyn's Tap & Grill's FIRST EVER Tot-a-Thon tater tot-eating charity contest on Saturday, December 9th to benefit the DuPage Chapter of Toys for Tots, which provides toys at Christmas to underprivileged children.

Mark already knows he will eat four tots. At 25 cents per tot, that’s $1. If you’d like to donate by 12/9, please drop off $1 to Ellyn’s or the Pfefferman house in cash or check made out to Ellyn's Tap & Grill. Or just donate $1 online at this link.

That’s it! Thank you for helping Ellyn’s make the holiday season a little nicer for DuPage County kids in need."
