A little gift for Clamato on account of his efforts in support of a very successful event. A link to Hannah Goldfield's twitter feed. Start with July 7th entry:

Soothing my anxiety by slowly savoring this spreadsheet of notes on customers that a restaurant accidentally attached to an email blast

Not sure if anyone has figured out the restaurant yet, but the spreadsheet has 30,000 entries:

After all, what could be better than insider restaurant snark from a top NYC restaurant?

We really need to convert to metric like the rest of the world. It puts American businesses at a real disadvantage internationally.

Is the spreadsheet actually out there or just parts that Hannah has reposted?

She's a late twenty-something writer for the New Yorker and NYT Style - I don't think she's going to release another word on it. A short burst is one thing, but I would think that milking it might not be good for her career considering the very high social access requirement of her job.

I wonder if she didn't already receive tremendous blowback as it did seem to rather quickly and abruptly stop even as it was going global. A dozen-ish out of 30k can't even begin to mine that vein.

It doesn't appear that the spreadsheet has been sighted yet in the wild, nor has there been a credible naming of the restaurant yet.

Glen Ellyn man organizes concert for Mercy Home (link) — Daily Herald

"Pete Miscinski can look at a map of the Chicago Marathon course and tell you exactly where he will find the motivation to carry him through to the finish line. Like clockwork, the inspiration will turn up during mile No. 16 when he runs past children from Mercy Home for Boys and Girls along Jackson Boulevard.

Seeing their young faces encouraging runners outside the Mercy Home campus will give the Glen Ellyn man the inspiration he needs to conquer the final 10 miles. It has for the last four years. Miscinski has run the marathon to raise funds for Mercy Home, a lifeline for kids and teens who have survived abuse, neglect and other trauma.

"In many instances, these kids are coming from some very bad situations that a lot of us don't ever have to experience or have trouble understanding," Miscinski said. He will..."

Info: RSVP by calling or texting Pete Miscinski at (773) 259-6520. Donations also can be made online to Miscinski's marathon page for Mercy Homes at http://mrcy.hm/2sepw7S.

Former Buffalo Grove executive, escort indicted on wire fraud charges (link) — Daily Herald

"A Buffalo Grove-based company's former financial controller and his ex-escort girlfriend have been indicted on numerous wire fraud charges that federal prosecutors claim bilked the company out of nearly $5.8 million over a 16-month span.

According to court records released Wednesday, Scott Kennedy, 43, is slated for arraignment Tuesday and an arrest warrant has been issued for Crystal Lundberg, 31, Kennedy's girlfriend. The pair are charged with using a credit card issued to Kennedy by his former employer to purchase an array of personal items including jewelry, vehicles and electronics and cover various housing, travel and even cosmetic surgery costs.

Media reports earlier this summer said Kennedy initially hired Lundberg as an escort, but the two eventually became a couple.

Kennedy was a financial official at Nemera, a company that designs and manufactures drug-delivery devices based in Buffalo Grove. Company officials said Kennedy was fired after the illicit spending was uncovered.

The fraud charges outlined in the indictment specifically list a $20,000 expense on June 14, 2016 at the House of Diamonds in Ocho Rios, Jamaica; a July 25, 2016 charge of $12,422 to pay the lease on the San Diego property; two March 6, 2017 charges totaling $61,686 at Royal Maui Jewelers in Escondido, California for Rolex watches; and an Oct. 19, 2016 charge of $12,767 from Amazon for the purchase of a Franz Sandner Grand Piano "for the personal use of defendant Lundberg's daughter."

crazy, so he spent $5.8 mil on a corporate card and the company didn't notice after the first $50k? I mean, I don't turn in a receipt on my corporate card for a $5 meal and mine gets rejected....

To the driver of the white Lexus SUV with Iowa plates that dropped off in the middle of the roundabout with at least 8 cars around you...you're an idiot.
