So earlier in the week they are on NPR promoting their "Cinderella story"? There is NO WAY they plan on losing this, this is a planned effort to promote their community (noble), they have "but in" the assurance of a win...unfortunately, "we" walked into the trap. They will win, I guarantee.

Little Chute In The Running For Nation's Best Looking City Hall — NPR Wisconsin Public Radio

"An online March Madness style tournament looks to name the nation's best looking city hall, and if you like a Cinderella story, you're in luck. The village of Little Chute is cruising through the tournament, and could take home the title. Little Chute's village administrator joins the show to talk about building, which features a working windmill on the property, and how the contest is bringing the community together."

Postscript: Gaba, Flim...there is a comments section on that NPR story, going there now

unOFFICIAL CEDAR RAPIDS CIVIC ALERT—Call to Action

Not sure why a contest that says “Week of February 20: Elite Eight” has the voting open already on the morning of the 18th, probably why Glenn Ellen lost in the last round, they didn’t know the contest started two days earlier... but this is a SERIOUS challenge to our “City of 5 seasons,” to arms fellow Rapidites...

"This week I'm 200 percent sure we are going to win," said Julie Routhieaux, an administrative specialist for Little Chute with a curd eating grin on her face. "I know we're going to win again, we had to use our untested, good game plan, it worked with machine precision. We have some things in our pockets. I mean, who else has a windmill, right?" “What? Pendleton Bay, British Columbia? OK, who else?”

Forward this link to everyone you know, get out the VOTE...

"The game against Glen Ellyn turned a bit personal. The photograph used to represent Little Chute was cropped to focus on its Dutch windmill, which is located on the same plaza as Village Hall. Supporters of Glen Ellyn cried foul and made their feelings known though online posts, with one calling Little Chute "big fat liars."

"C'mon, Little Chute, your city hall is not even in the picture," a commenter said. "Heck, we have a Subway (restaurant) that looks just like your city hall."

"Our city hall is beautiful, classic, and doesn't purport to be something it's not!" another person said. "I think Little Chute's windmill is awesome. I truly do. Let me know when it's up for best windmill, and I'll be there bright and early to stuff the ballot box."

A commenter from Chicago put the backlash in perspective. "I have no horse in this race," she said, "but the hilariously over-the-top responses from Glen Ellyn make it clear that Little Chute is more deserving."

Before the game was over, contest organizers recropped the photo to focus on Little Chute's Village Hall."

As a 20-something would say, "I know right?" (sorry, spent the past 3 days with 20 20-somethings)

You got to hand it to them, they brought this message board together. But for only a brief moment. Kinda like their fame, gone like a fart in the wind.
