15-year-old dies in 'menstruation hut' (link) — CNN

    Menstruation huts...huh, cruel, sad

"Deep in the Himalayas, the night rolled in and a girl in a tiny hut lit a fire to keep warm. As she slept, the 15-year-old died of smoke inhalation. She was alone, separated from her community because of a biological function that half the world's population will experience. The girl, from Gajra village in western Nepal's Achham district, was taking part in chhaupadi, a common practice in the far west of the country in which women, considered unclean during menstruation, are banished for the extent of their periods.

Her death was the second in under a month, according to Achham district police inspector Badri Prasad Dhakal, who added that 10 girls have died in similar huts in the district over the past nine years.
"Deaths are usually caused by smoke inhalation, snake bites (and) lack of basic health care during menstruation," he said.

Chhaupadi dates back centuries and has its roots in Hindu taboos over menstruation. As well as being isolated in tiny "menstruation huts" -- small, ramshackle buildings with small doors and often no windows and poor sanitation and ventilation -- women and girls are forbidden from touching other people, cattle, green vegetables and plants, and fruits, according to a 2011 United Nations report.

They are also not allowed to..."

Ah hah! Many, if not most, newer cars have keyless or remote start. Seems like an easy defense. No keys in the ignition.

It is not against the law to run the unattended car via keyless or remote start...that quote I pasted came from an article, and wasn't written that good.

About a month ago, Trump tweeted a message and photo of himself penning the first speech he’d give as president of the United States while at the Mar-a-Lago estate, and then designated Mar-a-Lago his “Winter White House” in Palm Beach...“Writing my inaugural address at the Winter White House, Mar-a-Lago, three weeks ago.”

While many mocked him handwriting the speech, others mocked him for designating Mar-a-Lago as the “Winter White House.”

Well, oddly and historically, Mar-a-Lago was donated with the intention of being thee “Winter White House.”

It was completed in 1927 by Post Cereal heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post. When Post died in 1973, she willed the property to the federal government for use as a "winter White House." Several years later, the high expense of maintaining the property and unwilling to pay for the upkeep, the federal government returned the property to the Post Foundation less than a decade later and Trump ultimately purchased it in 1985.

Chitterlings are a prepared food usually made from the small intestines of a pig. Note to self, next time ask someone before placing in mouth.

Rock ‘n roll star Chuck Berry was a pedophile and served 3 years in prison on that charge.

Berry began a two year prison sentence on February 19, 1962), for violating The Mann Act. Berry was accused of transporting a 14-year-old girl across state lines to work as a hatcheck girl in Berry’s Club Bandstand, which he had established as a racially integrated nightclub in St. Louis. The teen in question was a young native American woman named Janice Escalanti, whom Berry met while on December 1, while playing a show in El Paso, Texas. Berry allegedly had sexual relations with the girl in four different states. Berry was convicted of the charges, but the ruling was overturned, because U.S. District Judge George H. Moore repeatedly asked questions about race during the trial. When he was put on trial again in October of 1961, Judge Roy W. Harper offered no leniency and sentenced Berry to three years in prison and a $5,000 fine for being “intimate” with Escalanti.

I'll never hear "Little Queenie" the same after today...

"Go, go, go, little queen, Go, go, go, little queen, Go, go, go, little queenie

Tell me who's the queen, Standin' over by the record machine, Looking like a model, On the cover of a magazine, She's too cute to be a minute over seventeen"

Lets not forget his use of cameras in the ladies restrooms in his restaurant and the 2 employees he bought out to prevent prosecution.

Hasn't every great or not so great rock stars done something bad in their lives?
