    Pat DiNizio, a singer and songwriter who made popular rock songs as the leader of The Smithereens, died on Tuesday at age 62.

    Liked his voice and this band back in the day.

    Richard Whitecotton, Glenbard West music leader for four decades, dies at 81 (link)

    Richard Whitecotton led the music department at Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn for 38 years, developing a reputation for tirelessly bringing the most out in his students in the school’s choir and theater productions. Whitecotton also led the choirs and played the organ at several local churches, including most recently at Grace Lutheran Church in Glen Ellyn.
